Fundraising for Odyssey of the Mind is for 2 reasons:
1) To support the ongoing program which includes:
• school registration fees (currently $135/school)
• material reimbursements for parents and coaches
• state tournament registration fees (currently $50/team if registered by the early deadline)
• district t-shirts for all team members and coaches (currently about $470)
2) To enable teams who qualify for World Finals to make the trip to compete which includes:
• travel expenses - air fare, bus or rental vehicles, meal expenses during travel time
(we plan on approximately $450/person)
• room and board - (currently about $525/person but has been going up each year)
• props & costume transport (currently driven to our sites by a coach)
• thank-you group photo postcards & postage (currently about $200)
