Julie mailed out checks for CC Carriers Invoice and theHoliday Fair Ad.
David Burchill read that the Alfred Elementary PTC hasunclaimed money that the State of Maine has in their possession. He has forward the Claim Number for thePTC to look into.

Holiday Fair
TheHoliday Fair went great this year; profit of $5,860.00. We had one Table Reimbursement Requestdue to Medical Issues to Theresa Perry of $35.00

Basketball Concessions
ConcessionStand for the Basketball Games was discussed and the PTC agreed as a whole thatit does not bring in enough money to continue for the Travel Basketball Season.
NEW BUSINESS
Play Ground
The Alfred School was Granted Money for the Play Ground;-)
The PTC cannot be the agent for the Play Ground Funds; theagent needs to be the School District itself.
Ginnie will send out memo’s regarding the three differentPlay Ground Committee’s that parents can sign up for.
Quick Book
Julie Gerrish has looked into different programs for bookkeeping. Quick Books and Numbersare the two choices that where discussed. Quick book is most compatible with the schools computers and all agreedthat should be purchased. The costfor the program is approximately $200.00.

Laminating Film
Both sizes of laminating film need to be ordered. Ginnie will ask Janice to startcomparing prices. The approximatecost for the film is $350.00.

Corenna’s Comic StripSoftware Presentation
Corenna presented a computer program that offers childrento make their own comic strips. She shared a few of the comic strips that she has made for her presentation. The children can use their own picturesand words to make it their personal comic’s. The cost for the software is $199.00 for 25 Licenses thatwould allow for all computers in the lab plus 3 additional computers. This purchase can be made by check orcredit card and Corenna will set up all training.

Finance Committee Budget Meeting
The Finance Committee Budget meeting is scheduled for January18th at 6:00pm at Massabesic East. This is a very important meeting to attend and voice yourconcerns. This meeting will allowthe public to give input and help the committee understand the general public’sthoughts.
Carol to email information out to parents regardingfact/fictions of next year’s budget.
Teacher “WISH LIST”
Ginniewill send the Teachers Wish List to Bonnie to post on the Alfred Web Site. Robin/Ginnie will check with Pete tosee if could build a writing center instead of purchasing.
Super Draw
CindyParadis introduced the Super Draw to the PTC. This is a fun way to raise money and can involve a lotof the family’s in the school. ThePTC would sell 100 tickets in the amount of $50.00 each. There will be one designated night forthe drawing and maybe hold a Spaghetti Dinner. The tickets are numbered and there would be a number sequenceto follow as to win the prizes.
The PTCdiscussed having the ticket sales in the fall next year and having the Drawingsometime around Christmas. Thisyear we would start selling tickets February 1st and have theDrawing/Spaghetti Dinner on Friday, March 21st.
Ginnie totalk with Chris in regards to the PTC utilizing the kitchen on the 21st. Cindy Paradis will startcoordinating the ticket sales for the Super Draw.
Masonic Lodge Dinner
Carolbrought to the PTC‘s attention that the Masonic Lodge would like to have aHam/Spaghetti Dinner to help raise money for the Play Ground. This Dinner would be held on Saturday,May 22nd from 4:00-6:30. The only things they ask is for are volunteers and some donated desertsto pass out after dinner.
PTC Child Care
Childcare will be available at February PTC Meeting
